Nice looking watch, bad strap design Jun 21, 2009
By Tony A I love this watch. I wore it all the time. But the strap is held onto the watch part by a thin material and two screws. The material ripped and it looks like I have to order a new band. I hesitate to bother ordering a new band however, knowing how bad the design is. Very disappointing considering how attractive the watch is.

Skagen Mens Dual Time Black Leather Oct 05, 2008
By R Shopper I've had this watch for about 2 months and I really like it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I haven't owned it long enough to judge its workmanship. This is my third Skagen and the others work and look fine too.
I got this dual time zone watch because I live in Hawaii and my colleagues are on both coasts. I also travel, so this is great to have.

unfixable broken band Feb 17, 2010
By Lois Turnipseed

Christmas gift to husband, band broke in mid February. No one can fix it. To send it back to company costs over half the price of orignial watch. Afraid that the band will just break again,so spending that much to replace it is impractical. Several watch repair and jewelry stores all say they can not repair or replace band because it is held on by two small screws or brads, not like normal or most watch bands. It was too expensive of a watch to last less than two months. However it is beautiful and the time piece, the actual watch, works just fine. There should be some way to replace the band.

won't set off the metal detector at the airport Jan 23, 2008

I have to ammend this review. The weakness in the design is the watch band. There are two small screws that hold the band on and they wear thru the leather causing the band to fall off. After one year I am now faced with ordering a second replacement band. I find this disappointing since this is not even the watch my husband wears every day. We will see what Skagen has to say about it because they are getting a protest letter and not just a band replacement order next.
Original review: I got this for my husband as a travel watch, and he likes it! He doesn't have to take his watch off at airport security, so that is just one less thing to slow him down. And the dual times will be especially useful on overseas trips. The only thing missing is the date, but otherwise it is a chic highly-functional watch with a nice leather band.

Great Watch Sep 26, 2007
By Robin A. Evans I bought this watch as a replacement of a dual-faced Skagen I purchase several years ago. I like this one even better.
